## What problem does Frametap solve?

There are three ways a small-to-mid window shop measures windows in 2026, and none are good:

1. **The dead app.** iwindoor (Behin Saman Co, Iran, 2016) was the only free mobile-first Android window measurement app. It was removed from Google Play on **13 February 2025**. Many small shops are still relying on a 2018-era APK obtained from sideload mirrors — no updates, no security patches, no support.
2. **The enterprise tax.** Klaes, LogiKal (Orgadata, now a Forterro company), Schüco SchüCal, and A+W (also Forterro) start at €10,000+ upfront, require Windows desktops, and do not ship real mobile applications. They are designed for 200-person factories, not for the typical five-person joinery shop that makes up the majority of the EU fenestration market.
3. **The clipboard cost.** A measurement error on a triple-glazed unit costs £200–£800 in scrap material and a return van. Most shops re-make 3–8% of orders, which equates to a full surveyor's annual salary lost to bad handwriting and paper transcription errors.

Frametap replaces the moment in the van where a surveyor writes measurements on paper, drives back to the office, and re-types those measurements into a spreadsheet — the moment where most re-makes are born.
